Staging and Equipment

The Ozark Blues Society of NWA will provide backline and sound. The setup on stage will include a drum kit with snare drum, guitar and bass amps and mics. DI input will be available for keyboard players. An amp suitable for harp players will be available.  The backline will be based on registration information provided by the participating acts.

Drummers should bring their own cymbals and kick pedals (It is expected the backline kit will include cymbals, however in Memphis for IBC bringing your own is required.) You may bring your own snare if desired as long as you can change out your equipment in the allotted time frame.

Harmonica players CAN (but are not required) bring their own harp amp.

Keyboard players are required to bring their own keyboards, stands and seats as these will not be provided.  A DI connection will be available, but you may bring an amp if you choose.

Effects racks and other post amplifier auxiliary equipment are permitted.

Note: Special equipment needs must be included on the application.

Competitors are prohibited from bringing their own amplifiers (harp amps and keyboard amps being the only exceptions.)

Exceptions to this prohibition are rare and may only be granted by the Ozark Blues Society Board of Directors pursuant to a formal written petition submitted in writing and received via email to Sandy no later October 5, 2018. Include any special request or need in the act's on-line registration.
